This Saturday, 9/12, from 9 am-10:30 am, Hudson County Sierra Club is partnering with Jersey City for a morning walk around the refurbished reservoir. Explore the Reservoir’s changing late-summer landscape, evolving meadow, native plants, trees, wildlife habitat and urban ecology. The public trail around the top is an easy walk, under 1 mile. After decades of community efforts to prevent this historic asset from being bulldozed, the Reservoir Preserve is now a city park. Come check it out with us. While much more needs to be done at the Reservoir, it is a hidden jewel that warrants a visit. Hope to see you there.
