Ed Rogaski recently resigned from the Hudson River Waterfront Conservancy Board since he and his wife Anne have relocated to Westchester County to be closer to their children.
Ed, a past Treasurer of the Board, joined the Board in 2008 and has been an integral part of the development of the HRWC for the past 17 years.
Ed has been the Conservancy’s municipal representative for Weehawken. His efforts have developed the strong relationships the Conservancy enjoys today with the Mayor, the Town Administrator and other municipal officials. Weehawken views the Walkway as a valuable asset to the community and the Conservancy as a partner in overseeing the Weehawken Waterfront. Ed’s “fingerprints” can be seen in these productive relationships.
Ed is a native of Bayonne and, over the years, has used his knowledge of Bayonne in our many discussions of how the Conservancy can best serve Bayonne.
In 2009, along with then-President Don Stitzenberg and current Treasurer Howard Singer, Ed pioneered Sunday walks on the Walkway into what became the Walk the Walkway program. His consistent participation and suggestions, especially in the early days, helped mold the Walk the Walkway program that we have today.
Thanks to Ed for his many years of contribution to the Conservancy Board. The entire HRWC Board wishes Ed and his wife all the best in their new home.
